This Privacy Policy applies to the Sentry Modder mobile app (the "App") developed by Lior Boyango (the "Developer"). It explains what data the App collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
The App lets you sign in to your Tesla account so the App can monitor your vehicle's Sentry Mode in real time and, based on your settings, notify you and/or trigger vehicle actions (such as flashing the lights, honking the horn, or playing a sound) when a Sentry Mode event occurs. You can also schedule Sentry Mode on/off and define time- and location-based rules.
Personal Data We Collect
• Tesla account tokens: access token and refresh token, used to communicate with the Tesla API on your behalf
• Vehicle information: VIN, model, vehicle name, and vehicle state (including Sentry Mode status) returned by the Tesla API
• Vehicle location: your vehicle's GPS coordinates and heading, collected via Tesla Fleet Telemetry when you enable location-based rules or geofences
• Saved places / geofences: names, coordinates, and radii you create for location-based rules
• Approximate device location: if you grant permission, used only on your device to center the map when you choose a location. It is not stored on our servers
• Account and contact identifiers: your email address and/or phone number, used to create and verify your account
• Push notification token (FCM) and a device identifier, used to deliver notifications
• App configuration: your Sentry Options, schedules, and conditions
• Sentry event history: the date and time, event type, and which actions were performed
• Subscription status: purchase and entitlement information (processed by RevenueCat and the app stores)
• Usage and diagnostics: analytics and crash-report data. Analytics are collected only if you opt in
• Bug reports: any description and optional logs you choose to submit
How We Use Personal Data
• Communicate with the Tesla API to monitor Sentry Mode and perform the actions you configure
• Send push notifications about Sentry Mode events and status changes
• Evaluate your time- and location-based rules and geofences
• Provide and manage subscriptions and in-app purchases
• Maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the App
• Respond to your support and bug-report requests
Third-Party Services
We share data only as needed to operate the App, with:
• Tesla, Inc. — the Tesla Fleet API, to read your vehicle data and send the commands you configure, using your own Tesla account
• Google Firebase — authentication, database and file storage, push notifications (FCM), analytics, and crash reporting
• Google Maps — to display maps for location selection
• RevenueCat and the Apple App Store / Google Play — to process and manage subscriptions and in-app purchases
We do not sell or rent your personal data.
Data Retention & Deletion
We retain personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App. You can delete your data at any time from within the App ("Delete all my data") or by contacting us at support@sentry-modder.com. Deleting your data removes your stored Tesla tokens and revokes the App's access to your account.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export, or object to or restrict the processing of your personal data. To exercise these rights, use the in-app deletion option or contact us at support@sentry-modder.com.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, restricting access to authorized personnel, and using reputable infrastructure providers. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Data Location & International Transfers
Your data is stored and processed using Google Firebase (hosted in the europe-west2 region) and may be processed in Israel and other countries where our service providers operate. By using the App, you consent to such transfers.
Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version in the App and on our website and update the "Last updated" date above.
